Port of Miami – The HomePort-of-Call – is the Cruise Capital of the World.

Port of Miami home ported 18 cruise ships and nearly 4 million passengers in FY 2003.

Port of Miami is homeport to: Carnival Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, Oceania Cruises, and Windjammer Barefoot Cruises.

Port of Miami offers a wide variety of cruise destinations – Bahamas, Mexico, Caribbean, South America, Europe, The Far East, and around the world.

Port of Miami has the largest state of the art passenger terminals.

Port of Miami features an exciting Port-of-Call Program, which began in 2003 with the Norwegian Dawn.

Parking:

Parking is available at all terminals
Parking for cruise passengers is $12 per day; short-term parking is also available at a rate of $5.00.
Parking for oversized vehicles is approximately $24 per day (depending on size).

Taxi Service:

TaxiCabs are available at all cruise terminals. The fare between the Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami is approximately $20.00

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

Traveling from I-95 North or South

Exit at I-395 east toward Miami Beach (Exit #2D).
Follow the signs to Biscayne Boulevard (Exit #2A/#2B).
Follow the signs for Biscayne Boulevard South, and turn right at the traffic light/stop sign.

The entrance to the Port of Miami is at Biscayne Boulevard and Port Boulevard (NE 5th Street).
At the traffic light, turn left at Port Boulevard (NE 5th Street).

Proceed over the bridge and follow the signs to the Cruise Ships

Traveling from the West Coast of Florida

I-75 east toward Fort Lauderdale.
I-595 east toward Fort Lauderdale.
I-95 south toward Miami.

Exit at I-395 east toward Miami Beach (Exit #2D).
Follow the signs to Biscayne Boulevard (Exit #2A/#2B).
Follow the signs for Biscayne Boulevard South, and turn right at the traffic light/stop sign. Stay in the left lane.
The entrance to the Port of Miami is at Biscayne Boulevard and Port Boulevard (NE 5th Street).
At the traffic light, turn left at Port Boulevard (NE 5th Street).

Proceed over the bridge and follow the signs to the Cruise Ships

PROXIMITY TO THE AIRPORTS

If arriving from the airport:

Miami International Airport (MIA) is is located approximately 20 minutes west of the Port of Miami
Ft. Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) is about 45 minutes north of the Port of Miami

West Palm Beach International (PBI) is about 90 minutes North of the Port of Miami

We recommend that if you are booking your flights to your cruise from Miami, that you consider arriving a day or two earlier so that you can take advantage of the local attractions as well as avoiding potential flight delays, baggage collection and transfer problems that could occur.

If you arriving the same day as your cruise departs, please schedule your flights to arrive at these airports no later 2:00 pm on the day of departure from Miami; 1:30 pm from Ft. Lauderdale; and 1:00 pm from West Palm Beach. If this is not possible, then come in a day prior.

For return flights, do not schedule any flights departing earlier than 12:00 from Miami International Airport; 1:00 pm, from Ft. Lauderdale, and 2:00 pm from West Palm Beach.

PARKING AT THE PORT OF MIAMI

Facilities are available at all terminals for the parking of vehicles for passengers boarding ships and for Port visitors at rates designated by the Seaport Director.

Parking for cruise passengers is $12 per day. Parking for visitors is $5 per day. Cash or credit cards are accepted (Visa or Master Card only). Parking for oversized vehicles is approximately $24 per day depending on overall dimensions)

All established parking rates will be posted at each facility and applied to the day a vehicle enters the parking lot and to each succeeding day it remains on the lot. Visa and Mastercard Credit card payments are only accepted at Parking Garage #5 and Parking Garage #6.

Driving Directions

Directions from Miami International Airport

Take 836 East through the toll. Exit at U.S. 1, N.E. 2nd Avenue/Biscayne Blvd. and turn right on Biscayne Blvd. (U.S.1). Stay in the left hand lane and turn left on N.E. 5th Street. Drive across the bridge. Exit the bridge at the first right (Terminal 12).

Directions From Fort Lauderdale Airport

Take I-95 South to Exit 5A (N.E. 8th Street). Turn left on N.E. 5th Street. Continue traveling until you cross over Biscayne Blvd., then go over the bridge. Exit the bridge at the first right for Terminal 12, all other Terminals turn left at the stop light. Follow the signs for parking instructions.

From I-95

Take I-95 (north or south) to I-395 (east "to beaches"). Follow the directional signs to the Biscayne Boulevard exit. When you get to Biscayne Blvd., make a right. Go to Port Blvd (NE 5th St -landmark: American Airlines Basketball Arena) Make a left and go over the Port bridge. Exit the bridge at the first right for Terminal 12, all other Terminals turn left at the stop light. Follow the signs for parking instructions.

Parking

Parking for cruise passengers is $12 a day payable prior to embarkation. Recreational vehicles, approximately $24 a day (depending on size).

Cash and credit card payments** are accepted at all terminal lots & garages (except terminals 2 and 10).

NOTE - Only Visa and and Master Card are accepted

Transfers

If you are flying into Miami or Fort Lauderdale, airport transfers are available from most cruise lines in advance.

In addition, you can book Super Shuttle transfers in advance and they are approximately $11 per person from the Miami International Airport to the Port of Miami (one way).

TaxiCabs are available at all cruise terminals. The fare between the Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami is approximately $18.00.
