Cruising from Port Canaveral and cruise leaving from and departing from Port Canaveral is a fast growing part of the tourism industry in this part of Florida.

Port Canaveral is the second busiest cruise port in the world. During calendar year 2004, a record 4.6 million revenue cruise passengers passed through the Port's cruise terminals.

Cruise Terminals

Port Canaveral is home to some of the finest cruise terminals in the world. Six cruise terminals are in operation, and two more are on the drawing board.

Location and Directions

Port Canaveral is located on the East Coast of the United States within easy cruising distance of Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. Port Canaveral serves all of Central Florida from its coastal location in Brevard County. It is the closest deepwater port to the nearby Orlando-area attractions and neighboring Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Patrick Air Force Base, Kennedy Space Center and Cocoa Beach. Note: Segments of some of the highways are toll roads.

Directions from Orlando International Airport

This airport is located approximately 45 minutes west of Port Canaveral. Take the North Exit from the Airport, staying to the right, to S.R. 528 (Beeline Expressway) East. Take S.R. 528 directly to Port Canaveral. Follow directions on the right side of this page to reach your desired destination at Port Canaveral.

Directions from Melbourne International Airport

Melbourne International Airport (MLB) is located approximately 25 miles (45 minutes) south of Port Canaveral. Take a left (east) out of the airport onto NASA Blvd. and follow to where NASA ends at Route 1.Turn left (north) onti Route 1. Travel for approximately 20 minutes on Route 1. Go east onto SR 528 (BeeLine Expressway). Stay on BeeLine for approx. 10+ miles, over Indian River, Merritt Island and Banana River. Follow directions on the right side of this page to reach your desired destination at Port Canaveral.

Directions from Orlando Sanford Airport

The airport is located approximately 1 hour northwest of Port Canaveral. Two convenient ways to get to the Port: Exit the airport north to S.R. 46. Go east (25 miles) to Interstate 95, and then drive south (18 miles) to the Beeline Expressway's (S.R. 528) east exit. Go east to Port.

OR Exit the airport south to Central Florida Greeneway (Toll Road 417). Go south (23 miles) to the Beeline Expressway's (S.R. 528) east exit. Go east (37 miles) to Port. Follow directions on the right side of this page to reach your desired destination at Port Canaveral.

From the Daytona Beach International Airport

take I-95 south to Route 528 East (Beeline Expressway). Follow directions on the right side of this page to reach your desired destination at Port Canaveral.

Signs along the highway will direct you to the cruise terminals at Port Canaveral. Cruise Terminals 5, 8, and 9/10 are located on the north side of the Port and can be reached via S.R. 401. Cruise Terminals 2, 3 and 4 are on the south side near the Port's oceanfront campground, Jetty Park. Just turn left off S.R. 528 into Port Canaveral, and follow the signs.


Parking at Port Canaveral's Cruise Terminals is paved, gated, and under 24-hour surveillance. Parking is located at each terminal and is well sign-posted. Passengers at Cruise Terminal 9/10 have a choice of outdoor parking or the new six-level parking garage.

There are special areas designed for parking for the disabled, however we do not provide free parking unless it is (1) a vehicle with specialized equipment, such as ramps, lifts, or foot or hand controls, for use by a person who has a disability, or (2) a vehicle that is displaying the Florida Toll Exemption permit (call 1-800-983-2435 #2 for exemption form).

Otherwise, parking fee is $12.00 per day for vehicles up to 20 feet in length and $24.00 per day for vehicles over 20 feet. The total amount for the time the vehicle is to be parked must be paid in full upon entering the parking area. Visa, MasterCard, Traveler's Checks issued in U.S. dollars and Cash are accepted in payment of fees. All fees stated above are subject to change without notice by Canaveral Port Authority.

Limited free parking is available in "Daytime Only" parking lots at each Cruise Terminal for persons having business at the Terminal or aboard the Cruise Ship only during the hours the ship is docked at the Terminal. No overnight parking is permitted in "Daytime Only" parking lots without the express permission of Canaveral Port Authority.

Parking for SunCruz Casino is free and located in The Cove near the bulkhead between Rusty's and Morgan's Seafood Restaurants.

Directions to Northside Cruise Terminals at Port Canaveral:

Driving either North or South on I-95, take exit 205 East to Hwy 528 East. Drive 11.5 miles on Hwy 528 East and exit to the “A” cruise terminals onto SR 401 North. Drive 1 mile on SR 401 North and exit right to cruise terminals. Follow signs to correct cruise terminal.

To your left is Cruise Terminal 5 (Carnival Fantasy, Holland America's Zaandam, Norwegian Dawn).

Continue along Chuck Rowland Drive and take a left to the other terminals.

The first terminal to your left is Cruise Terminal 8 (Disney Magic and Disney Wonder).

The second terminal to your left is Cruise Terminal 9/10 (Royal Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, and Carnival's Glory).

Directions to Southside Cruise Terminals/Port Authority Offices/Jetty Park:

Get on State Road 528 (Beeline) going EAST, you will eventually see signs for I-95 South/Cocoa/Cocoa Beach - the road will split, keep to the right. Stay on SR528, you'll pass over I-95, US1, more bridges, and water.

You will start seeing signs for the cruise terminals on your right. After you go over the last bridge (S.R.401 is below it), get over into the right lane and take the next off ramp. You will be going under the overpass and into the port area.
